Short Executive Biography
Dr. Andreas Weber is an international regulatory strategist and governance expert with more than 30 years of leadership experience in global financial institutions including UBS, Standard Chartered and JPMorgan.
He specializes in regulatory strategy, cross-border structuring and governance architecture. He has led multi-jurisdictional transformation programs, negotiated with UK, EU and US regulators, and designed Board and risk governance frameworks at group level.
As Program Director for the UK FSA pilot Recovery & Resolution initiative at Standard Chartered, he developed systemic impact modelling, liquidity recovery planning and subsidiarization strategies. At UBS, he has led the redesign of cross-border regulatory frameworks across emerging markets and supported licensing, de-risking and business expansion initiatives.
Dr. Weber holds a Doctorate in Law (Dr. iur.) focusing on crisis planning of international financial institutions and lectures in cross-border banking, Governance, Compliance, information protection and crisis management at leading Swiss and German universities.
Following his decision to step back from direct Corporate roles, Dr. Weber now advises boards, executive teams and investors on complex tasks, successfully navigating regulatory and structural challenges.
